The Abroad101 Mission
Abroad101 is an interactive online study abroad community for students, parents, and study abroad administrators to foster a safer, better-researched, and more meaningful experience abroad.
Our Products
We offer a free Assessment and Evaluation Tool to study abroad organizations. This tool manages the entire lifecycle of assessing the study abroad experience, from the generation of an evaluation form, to the collection of student responses, to the sharing of content with “next year’s students”, to the reporting and analysis of collected data, to the comparison of internal data with data from other institutions. We currently have 43 US universities utilizing this tool, including MIT. We have just begun expanding the use of this tool to include foreign universities and program providers. We offer a review website for study abroad programs. It is much like Yelp or TripAdvisor but with hotels and restaurants replaced with study abroad programs. Additionally, the “reviews” are focused
Our Team
Four people, ages 27, 24, 24, and 22, all very passionate about study abroad and building a successful internet company. An MIT grad, a Tufts grad, a Hamilton grad, and a Michigan grad. We're cool; come get to know us.

Adam Miller, Co-Founder and CEO, MIT Economics ’07. Adam’s life-long dream was to be an entrepreneur. After doing computer- and internet-related work as a consultant from age 13-22, he set out to fulfill his dream, founding Abroad101 as well as two other start-ups. One of the two others went out of business while the other sold to an acquirer. For the past 16 months, Adam has focused all of his energy (and more?) on Abroad101.
Michael Stone, Co-Founder and President, Tufts Psychology ’07. Mike studied abroad twice, helped lead a study abroad program, and documented a study abroad program on film, before developing the original business plan for Abroad101.
