The BigBelly Solar Mission
Reducing the carbon footprint of cities, universities and other organizations by reducing unnecessary vehicle trips and increasing recycling while saving them money via operational efficiency.
We're famous for our BigBelly Solar Compactor (a self-compacting trash can that uses solar power to provide additional on-site capacity so it doesn't have to be emptied as often), but what we WILL be famous for is using data to help organizations make decisions that save them money, free up labor and reduce vehicle and fuel utilization. Out "Smart Grid for Waste & Recycling" is changing the way cities like Philadelphia and Chicago and colleges like MIT and Georgetown approach waste management and introduce public space recycling.
Our team is led by veterans of the high tech and financial services industries but has plenty of youth among the ranks as well. Senior management team has had previous exits in the nine and ten digit ranges.
Life at BigBelly Solar
Relatively casual, full of laughter, very social. Plenty of bike riders, triathletes and mountain hikers. Convenient location near 128 but you can look at trees from the windows and see the Charles from the parking lot.
