A Personal Health Record (PHR) is an online document that maintains all the data related to doctor and other health provider visits. Numerous products exist to provide this service- including Microsoft Health Vault and Google Health. However- the existing products have gained only limited consumer adoption. The existing products are free- but require the consumer to engage in a significant effort to collect records, and conduct data input after every physician visit.
MotherKnows will be unique in the market in several important ways. First and foremost- we are a full service product. We will contact the doctor, retrieve the patient records, upload the data and post the data to a consumer website and mobile app on the customer’s behalf. Second- awareness of the existing products is low- as free products- they cannot spend marketing dollars to create adoption. Our paid full-service product will be actively marketed. Subsequently he obtained venture funding from Greylock and Accel partners to fund HighGear Media, a leader in consumer directed automotive sites- including the Car Connection.
Greg Goff- CEO – Greg has led a number of companies and been engaged in a number of successful start-ups. He was the founder of Homes.com, was a founding exec at BabyCenter.com and most recently served as President of Automotive.com and the Motor Trend Automotive group- the nation’s leading provider of new car leads which sold recently to a private equity firm.
