To build a gamified Bloomberg machine which disrupts sell side Wall Street research. By providing a platform for market participants across the financial industry to contribute estimates on the fundamental data points which drive the market, we are providing a more honest and accurate data set of expectations, and surfacing the true star analysts. We believe that it's time for sell side Wall Street research to take a back seat to buy side and independent though which is not bound by the perverse incentive structure of Wall Street relationships. We believe in social finance, the democratization of financial information and analysis, and a meritocratic ecosystem where the best analysts are elevated to prominence.

In less than three months since our public beta launch (December 7th, 2011), the Estimize platform has over 3,100 users and over 2,000 estimates have been made. On average, the Estimize consensus estimate has been more accurate than Wall Street's. We've quickly gained recognition in major financial publications such as Investors Business Daily, Business Insider, TheStreet.com and others for the game changing data our community provides.

Our current team is comprised of the right mix of both financial, social, and technology DNA. Our CEO has worked for and ran a hedge fund, and was one of the first employees at StockTwits the largest social finance community on the web. Our CTO is the head of the Ruby developers meetup in New York and a startup veteran. Our junior developer is a brilliant algorithms kid who is working his but off.

We currently work out of co-working space in Union Square, and are currently looking for our own space to expand.
