Our mission is to build extensible portfolio management software to be used by professional investment advisors, planners and money managers. This is a >$1B vertical market with well-established competitors using outdated technology.

Our flagship product is a WPF application built with a "Software as a Service" mindset. We are working on a rich, powerful desktop client, and plan to have a lighter-weight browser version as well. The complexity of our application and industry aren't appropriate for a traditional browser app, and we're using Microsoft's new Web Office as a template.

The product was released as an alpha on Dec 1, with beta anticipated in mid-February. The first full release will be mid-2009.

FinFolio was founded by industry veterans with startup experience who have successfully founded and led similar companies. We are well-rounded with business and technology expertise, and our past successes allow us to self-fund FinFolio. We've already been written up in industry magazines, and will have a high level of visibility in financial services publications.

To keep costs down, we work from a founder's basement in a 7,000+ ft estate house in Parker. Free lunch is served 3-4 times a week and we usually work 8-5.

When we grow past ~6 people, we will move to the Denver Tech Center. Our current location in Parker is ~15 minutes from the DTC.
