Our Products
IKEWIKI (pronounced as "i-kw-iki") is made up of two words from the Hawaiian language – ‘Ike’ and ‘Wiki’. The word ‘Ike’ means “to receive revelations from the Gods; knowledge, awareness, understanding, recognition, comprehension and hence learning” and ‘wiki’ means “to hurry, hasten; quick, fast, swift”. IKEWIKI offers educators and learners a compelling E-Learning environment by:
1. Delivering high quality learning content in an environment customizable to learning needs,
2. Guaranteeing lowest total cost of ownership for content authoring and knowledge management, and
3. Allowing seamless syndication of content with existing and new external software systems.
The problem with online learning is "not in the volume of access but in the quality of participation and learning". IKEWIKI is aimed at solving this exact problem and "Giving Everyone the Power to Teach and Learn" by being the " 'Amazon' of high quality e-learning content, have 'Google'-like powers with this content.
Our Team
The team has been hand‐picked by the CEO – Neel Mullick (from India) who has both a Masters in Software Engineering and in Business Administration. So does the Director of Operations – Bharat Gorantla (from Canada). Neel has played successfully the roles of software developer, project manager, author, and entrepreneur. Paulo Merson (from Brazil), with over 17 years of experience in software development is on board as the Principal Architect. Tammo Mueller (Director of Product Development from Germany) and Zakaria El Houda (Director of Product Quality and Performance from Morocco) both come on board with strong credentials and have worked previously with Bharat and Neel respectively at Siemens. Matthew Bass, a former colleague of Neel’s at Siemens (Managing Director of US Operations from USA), is a member of the academic faculty at Carnegie Mellon.
Life at IKaru Projects
We're a small team (more like a family, really) that is passionate, talented, motivated and fun. Besides for toiling tirelessly towards our vision and celebrating our successes along the way, we share lunches and dinners, our moments of strength and weakness, and joys and sorrows. We found a common voice for our vision in our US offices and have now moved to India in search of young and enthusiastic talent to become a part of our Founding Team. Members that will not just be a part of the culture but instead, help create and shape it. Members that will not be employees, but rather owners. Realizing what it takes to succeed, we do not just want to recruit employees - we want to nurture owners.
