The MyDROBE Mission
To provide an efficient system to get a user dressed by optimizing the value of past purchases, strategically directing future clothing investments with the opportunity to connect with others for advice, while shopping from the wardrobes of those you admire.
The premiere online fashion platform utilizing proprietary style recognition technology and a personalized recommendation engine to act as a virtual stylist and personal shopper with a social networking platform designed to build the ultimate taste graph.
Julia Wetherell is the founder of MyDROBE. After graduating from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business, she worked at Glamour Magazine in Advertising, then moved over to ELLE Magazine where she worked in Integrated Marketing. She finally took the plunge in September 2011 and quit her "day job" to start MyDROBE.
MyDROBE has put together a robust board of advisors that includes:
-William J. Hawkins, a 30-year veteran of the software industry (formerly the President of Internet Technology for CMGI and Vice President of Advanced Technology at AOL. While at America Online, Mr. Hawkins was instrumental in the design and development of integrated browser and messaging technology, as well as other key aspects of AOL's Internet platform strategy)
-David Wetherell, former CEO of CMGI where he started numerous Internet companies such as AltaVista, and the first VC firm for the Internet, @Ventures.
-Ann Acierno, former CEO at Bill Blass, President at Karl Lagerfeld and H Hilfiger divisions
