The NameCoach Mission
To build a world where we better appreciate each others' unique identities, starting with our names. NameCoach allows people to voice-record their names online so others know how to say them right.
Our flagship web app allows students to voice-record their names so that teachers know how to say their names in class, and name announcers know how to say their names at the big moment at graduation. This product has received rave reviews from many schools and departments, from Stanford to Haltom High School in Texas to Birkbeck College in London.
We have many more exciting products centered around names in the pipeline, some which are adaptations of our flagship product for settings besides classrooms and graduations: e.g., wedding receptions, sports announcing, radio announcing, diplomatic settings, international business settings, conferences, etc. And other products which we believe will help end name mispronunciation world-wide.
Our diverse team is made of up a dynamic and energetic group, from Stanford, Duke, Berkeley, and more. The team is cross-functional, including a UX/UI expert, web engineers, an iOS engineer, and product and marketing specialists.
We look for fun, passionate, thoughtful people who appreciate the vision, work hard, and play nice.
Life at NameCoach
We get to work in the dynamic and collaborative design environment of the Stanford Venture Studios! We work alongside other exciting Stanford-based startups, learning from each other and enjoying lots of events centered on entrepreneurship education. No better place, in our humble opinion.
Oh, and our team tradition is bowling and beer at Homestead Lanes. We like to celebrate our victories and learning experiences.
