One Block Off the Grid is a fast-growing, funded startup located in the hip, dynamic South Park district of San Francisco. Our mission is to dramatically accelerate the national adoption of solar energy among homeowners by helping them understand its powerful financial and environmental benefits. Since 2008 we’ve helped thousands of homeowners go solar in more than ten different states through our community-based group purchasing programs and have been covered extensively by the national media including The New York Times, Wired, Huffington Post, and USA Today. We also recently made GOOD Magazine’s annual “30 Places We Want to Work” listing.

We use the power of group-purchasing to offer PV panels to homeowners at a substantially lower price than they can get on their own.
