The Sparkplay Media Mission

To raise the bar for free-to-play MMOs and free people from the chains of subscription fees. We will become the leading developer of free-to-play MMOs in the Western world by combining production values that outstrip those of the hordes of Asian MMOs that get localized here, with the ability to run solid 3d in a browser. We have complete creative control over our games with no publisher looking over our shoulders.

Our Products

We're developing approachable free-to-play 3d MMOs that run either as an executable or in a browser with a plugin as well as the platform to power them. Our first MMO - Earth Eternal - is set in a fantasy version of Earth with a deep, rich backstory, multi-classing, high levels of character customization, and far more.

Our Team

We're led by long-time MMO innovators and veterans, including our CEO, who pioneered the sale of virtual goods over a decade ago. Our team is composed of people with experience at a range of companies: Blizzard, SOE, Flagship, Stormfront, as well as lesser-known companies like Sulake (Habbo Hotel) and Iron Realms Entertainment.

Life at Sparkplay Media

Sparkplay's office (which is a former speakeasy!) is in the historic, lively North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco. It is one of the coolest office spaces you've ever seen. Dozens of restaurants, bars, and clubs are located in the surrounding blocks and a park is right across the street.
