The Stealth Consumer Web Start-up Mission
A web based venture helping consumers make more informed purchasing decisions. The venture is targeting a large consumer product market (a discretionary item). The interface will mash-up proprietary pricing information (unique statistical model in development) with existing products for sale. Successful execution will require indexing and displaying a large amount of data and images. The business model is based on affiliate revenue agreements (prevalent in this market), not internet advertising.
The current founder has a business background: MBA, strategy consulting, and technology consulting background. I have experience designing consumer based web interfaces. However, I am cognizant of my “technical skill limits” and I am seeking a partner to drive the vast majority of the technology decisions for the venture.
Product vision, competitive positioning, and unique value proposition have been developed. The venture is currently in the process of raising seed funding. Initial funding discussions are in progress.
