Thumb is a NY-Area venture-backed consumer mobile/web startup. We’ve built an addicting mobile application that’s growing rapidly, providing millions of rapid responses per day to users asking all manner of questions on the go.

Thumb has an amazing iOS and Android app (check it out on your favorite platform!) We also have a web version and great stuff in the pipe.

We’ve built our systems so far on native mobile platforms for iOS and Android, and PHP server code with a pinch of Ruby to spice things up. Our backend systems are awesome, we’re using MongoDB for all our transactional data, and Vertica DB for business intelligence and data warehousing

We have a tight knit 6 person engineering organization, a killer customer support and community management staff, top-notch social media marketers and some incredible backers and advisors.

We've got offices in New Jersey (Red Bank), and in Manhattan, right in the heart of all the startup action near Union Sq. Our team hangs on Skype regularly, uses all the latest tools and technologies, and we've got a fun laid-back casual startup environment (I mean, our app is named "Thumb", we clearly aren't taking ourselves too seriously...)
