Overview
GetGoing (www.getgoing.com) is a fast-growing consumer travel startup. We are looking for our first accountant / a jack of all trades to set up our accounting systems, policies and procedures; close books on a monthly basis; assist with budgeting, forecasting, management, and investor reporting; handle employee benefit administration; and manage supplier settlements and reconciliations. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, bright, and hands-on accountant who is interested in becoming a core member of a dynamic team. You’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities
Handle all daily accounting functions, including general ledger entries, expense reports, invoice payments, payroll processing, wire transfers, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Develop, document and implement accounting policies and procedures.
Close monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP reporting requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive internal budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Assist with quarterly and annual investor report preparation.
Oversee tax planning and tax filings; coordinate the preparation of tax returns.
Take charge of employee benefit administration.
Oversee chargeback activity and response documentation.
Develop travel accounting function, including working with a consultant to implement a back-office travel accounting system, and standardize merchant account and supplier reconciliations.
Lead and support ad hoc projects as required.
Experience
BA/BS in business, accounting, economics, finance or related field.
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel.
Minimum of 5-6 years of accounting and finance experience.
Strong preference for entrepreneurial and well-rounded candidates with prior experience being a one-person accounting team at a tech startup or a small private company.
