AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: Software Engineer - Web Developer Ninja

at Artful Gentleman in At and Sf Rlwy, CA   —   Jul 18, 2014   |
In search of a web developer(s) to be a part of the core of our exciting start-up opportunity. We are currently in stealth start-up mode, so we are keeping things a bit hush-hush until we get to speak to candidates one-on-one.

What can we tell you? We are an exciting (doesn't every emerging start-up say that?) opportunity on the apparel/ecommerce side of the online space. We are building out a different type of shopping experience that is more than just a pick an item and drop it in your shopping cart experience -- our concept goes much deeper and is designed to provide the consumer with the highest quality online shopping experience and given them, upon purchase the highest quality -- dare we say luxury -- goods.

Whether it's clean interfaces, scalable servlets, or testing frameworks, they kick ass at everything. This role will work hand-in-hand with the product and creative leads to implement whole features independently, and iterate fast: code just as you breathe, breathe just as you code and you understand how we work.
Care about your users
Expertise in JavaScript, HTTP, HTML/DOM, and CSS
Command of programming on a web server: Python, Ruby, Java, C++, etc.
Test-driven development
Excitement about the challenges of internationalization
Comfortable working in a Unix environment
Let your resume and work samples speak for you on this one.
Love of Python
Battle-worn MySQL knowledge
Firebug is your best friend
Active contributor to open source software
Mobile web development experience (XHTML)
Proficiency with Fireworks, Photoshop, etc.
Experience with Magento or other ecommerce engines
Pointers to websites you've built
