The Account Executive has the opportunity to work with the largest national retail brands on mobile marketing campaigns and in-store promotions to drive world-class, cutting edge customer engagements. This position will lead strategy design for mobile and brand experiences creating billions of brand impressions annually. This position will be in the driver’s seat to influence the adoption of the leading mobile phone technology with the “tap” experience. This is an exciting new way to engage consumers, as they begin to interact with brands in the world around them in a totally new and different way.
Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Account Executive will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and growing business relationships across merchants within an assigned vertical, including senior management, marketing, operations, legal and IT. This individual will lead the overall merchant marketing effort and set strategic direction for the partnership. The Account Executive will also be responsible for conducting extensive contract negotiations and renegotiating contractual terms as needed. This individual must demonstrate strong relationship management and interpersonal skills and have experience working with C-level leadership of merchants/clients.
Assume overall account responsibility and accountability for merchants within assigned vertical.
Lead the overall merchant marketing effort with support from marketing team for creative and execution. Develop merchant offer strategy and set strategic direction for marketing partnership with merchant, optimizing all marketing expenditures and PR opportunities. Maximize Isis POS placement at merchant to drive acceptance message.
Establish key internal linkages across Isis to maximize merchant revenue, satisfaction and overall relationship growth. Upsell and cross-sell Isis service to generate new revenue (i.e. cross sell issuer rebate programs to merchants)
Key responsibilities include building new revenue streams for Isis (commerce), conduct senior management business reviews w/ merchant, maintain high merchant satisfaction levels, ensure no merchant cancellations & serve as “Isis point “for all merchant initiatives, etc.
Maximize the merchant opportunity for payment acceptance, offers, loyalty programs, private label credit cards/gift card and other Isis capabilities on the roadmap over time.
Take leadership role internally at Isis to maximize account partnership programs.
Lead / Influence / provide feedback to the various internal Isis groups representing the merchant viewpoint.
Establish strong business relationships across merchants, including senior management, marketing, operations, legal, IT, training, etc. Establish multiple merchant touch points to ensure maximum merchant relationship growth.
Establish and maintain key internal linkages including onboarding, marketing, IT, legal, sales, commerce, product development, etc.
Establish and maintain key external linkages including 3rd party partnerships including terminal providers, credit card issuers, payment networks, POS supply chain partners, etc.
Work with merchants to understand and build mutual success metrics
A deep understanding of the mobile payments and/or consumer offer/coupon ecosystem is a plus.
The ability to effectively communicate internally and externally. Advance Isis’ position as a strategic partner; conveying information and ideas through clear oral and written communications and presentations.
The ability to actively influence events to achieve goals and objectives rather than accepting the way they are; proactively takes ownership and responsibility for achieving results.
A demonstrated track record of sales success in managing and growing business relationships with established merchant customers.
The ability to build and manage customer and internal relationships in order to deliver business results that meet customer needs, optimize resources and maximize Isis profitability.
The ability to conduct extensive contract negotiations
Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus
