Responsibilities
Work directly with smaller advertisers, agencies and internal teams
Cold call new business prospects
Acquire and develop new advertisers
Develop with sales team ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting, qualifying and closing new business
Work with Account Manager(s) to ensure client’s delivery, optimization and reporting needs are fulfilled
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, demonstrating focused sales efforts, understanding the business model, as well as understanding of the internet advertising environment
Have a deep understanding and ability to analyze client ROI, CPM, CPC and CPA goals and data, media buying cycles, web site architecture, product / service update schedules, marketing philosophy, target demographics etc
Expand relationships by indentifying products and services that best meet client needs
Gain knowledge and understanding of all internal systems to respond to general and specialized client requests; including billing inquiries, click activity inquiries, bidding requests, relevancy issues etc.
Travel 10%
Experience
1-2 years experience in sales/marketing – Traditional Media sales, online advertising sales and search marketing experience is a major plus
Passion for advertising sales
Skills
Intuitive/creative thinker. Problem identifier and solver
Ability to work effectively as part of a sales team
Professional demeanor
Proficient with Microsoft products
Ability to function well in an independent or team environment
Ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily as well as handle multiple priorities
Strong attention to details and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
Education
• BS/BA degree required
