Account Manager, Business Development & Publishing Partnerships

Kargo is the premier mobile publisher platform. We build and manage innovative mobile experiences across mobile sites, tablets, and iPhone and Android apps for some of the largest and most prestigious media companies in the world, including CBS, Warner Bros., Meredith, IAC, Viacom, Univision, American Media (Shape, Men’s Fitness, OK Weekly), Complex, Vox and many others.

Kargo’s clients include P&G, Unilever, LG, Sony, Paramount Pictures, McDonald’s and State Farm, to name a few. Kargo has received many awards including a mobile for best mobile website, an OMMA for best mobile marketing campaign, and a DPAC for best mobile app.

Kargo is looking for a smart, driven Account Manager to join our Publisher Partnership Team. In this new role, you will work closely with the
Director of Client Services on the publisher management team, which services Kargo’s existing portfolio of premium publishing partners
Responsibilities
Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the publisher management team
Manage your own list of premium publisher accounts; act as the main point of contact between Kargo and its publisher partners.
Be accountable for your publishers’ overall satisfaction
Schedule and host meetings between the pub management team and your publisher accounts
Collate and deliver publisher reports which track Kargo’s contribution to publishers’ business
Identify, track, and exceeding publisher’s key performance indicators
Provide strategic consulting regarding inventory monetization strategies and policies, marketplace trends and best practices, and development of publisher direct sales.
Create, build and maintain strong and effective relationships with publisher clients.
Coordinate and drive publisher projects including mobile site builds and ad technology integration
Liaise with Kargo’s sales leadership that coordinate efforts with publishing partners and generate up-sell opportunities to benefit both Kargo and its partners
Working with marketing department to create special publisher packages, which are approved by publishers and which can be sold by the Kargo sales team
Experience
BA/BS required from a top university
1-3 years experience working in client services and/or business development in the mobile or digital advertising industry
Skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs.
Strong work ethic; self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset
Strategic thinker, capable negotiator, able to think flexibly, outside the box
“People-person” who can handle multiple personality types across wide range of clients
Highly organized problem solver, able to multi-task
Highly developed interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skill
Education
BA/BS Required from a top University
