The Account Representative, Renewals manages the renewal process for existing customers and works to ensure that the renewal is successfully closed before the current subscription expires. The Account Representative, Renewals is responsible for building relationships with the customers in their territory to uncover and mitigate non-renewal risk and to discover new business opportunities. They follow-up with customers in their territory using a sales-focused approach and strive to become the customers trusted advisor. The Account Representative, Renewals will build core product knowledge to be able to address customer inquiries and to communicate each products value proposition. The Account Representative will be tasked with meeting specific/pre-determined targets to contribute to the success of the Renewals team.
Identify accounts near expiration and follow up with customers via telephone and email to determine the renewal status
Utilize Salesforce.com to organize and track the renewal status of the customers in the assigned territory. Maintain customer information and renewal activities in the CRM
Verify that the customers’ usage matches the number of subscriptions that are being paid for and adjust the renewal quote/CRM accordingly
Cultivate relationships with renewal customers to ensure their needs are being met and to uncover leads for up/cross-selling.
Manage the Budget Renewal Letter process for the assigned territory, from verifying correct contacts to ensuring that the pricing is correct
Identify accounts that may not renew service and develop a retention plan with all appropriate parties
After exhausting all renewal efforts, follow the correct steps to cancel the subscriptions according to company policy
Escalate service issues to the appropriate parties and work with them to make sure the issue is corrected which ensures high customer satisfaction

2+ years of work experience with sales and/or renewing contracts with a proven track record of success
Proficient oral and written communication skills to initiate and execute customer follow-up
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
1+ years CRM or Salesforce.com experience
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Self-motivated, goal and detail-oriented, persistent and dependable with strong probing skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
