Account Representative, Sales

The Account Representative, Sales manages the incoming Sales Leads via the CRM. This position is responsible for ensuring that all leads are vetted properly prior to assigning to Field Sales Representative. The Account Representative, Sales is responsible for building and nurturing customer relationships as it goes through the Sales Lead Stages. This position is required to have core knowledge on all of our products and services offerings in order to address customer inquiries and to communicate each products value proposition. The ideal candidate is someone who is entrepreneurial in nature and is looking to enter the world of educational sales. The Account Representative, Sales will assist the Field Sales Representatives in achieving sales goals within their assigned territories. The Account Representative, Sales will provide a variety of sales support activities from lead generation through close.

***Employee will work from our Brooklyn, NY office or our Alpharetta, GA office

Responsibilities of Account Representative, Sales:

Heavy outbound sales calls targeting schools and districts in assigned territory
Generate new leads and establish an active pipeline via cold calling and sales prospecting
Stay current on company products, solutions, and pricing
Research territory trends, competition and funding sources to strategically drive new sales
Reach out to prospective clients in efforts to drive new sales for Field Sales Reps
Manage customer relationships and identify clients’ needs through constant communication via phone and email
Work closely with Field Sales Reps on active campaigns within assigned region
Constant communication with Field Sales Reps to ensure their Leads are kept up to date and assist them with updating when necessary
Use predetermined guidelines to assist Field Sales Reps define new opportunities within assigned region
Prepare CRM reports as needed, improve contact database and document all activities in
Additional projects to be assigned as needed

Basic Qualifications of Account Representative, Sales:

BA/BS or equivalent experience
1+ years of work experience in a fast paced corporate environment
Proficient in written and verbal communication
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications of Account Representative, Sales:

Previous experience or interest in working in education (or ‘in the education field’)
Previous experience with or similar CRM
Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, superb organizational skills and immaculate attention to detail
