Advertising / Digital Media Sales Executive

Overview
The candidate for this position will be responsible for the sales and strategic planning of digital media advertising programs to support the growth of Beauty & The Bull Magazine. It’s sales, strategy, and account management all rolled into one robust role. We’re looking for a well-rounded rockstar who is looking to take the next big leap in their career with a boost in experience and expertise. We are in search of an experienced solution Sales Professional that will take responsibility for all client activity as it relates to print, digital media and sponsorship sales, driving our client's revenue and growth while providing excellent customer services in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and multi-client environment. This role contributes to the development of prospect databases; sales collateral (including but not limited to media kits and prospectuses); sales report updates; all advertising sales, events sponsorships; and a la carte offerings

Grow a sales career in digital media that encourages work / life balance; no late nights, no weekends. This is a 90% inside sales role; i.e. no traveling, no door-to-door, no face-to-face, etc. with 10% travel.
Responsibilities
Database development, including but not limited to identification of target companies and influencers/decision makers; cold calling; qualifying prospects; and researching complimentary business markets to add to the contact database.
Execution of our solution sales methodology to consistently close sales pipeline opportunities.
Preparing activity and forecast reports for tracking sales progress against goals.
Working in a team environment to ensure that the sales collateral represents the offerings to be sold.
Building relationships with targeted companies/organizations through use of phone calls and e-mails.
Write clear and detailed client communications including emails, sales letters, etc.
Write tailored proposals.
Work with graphics team to create agency quality designs for both spec ads and sold ads.
Attending client or competing events, as needed, to pre-sell for future events and/or build business relationships.
Manage your leads and drive the full sales cycle from introductory calls to closing deals.
Assess your client’s advertising needs (over the phone) and propose a campaign that best suits their business goals
Perform a high-volume of outbound sales calls to businesses around the world each day (50+).
Plan and organize your time effectively to allow an optimal frequency of outbound sales calls per day and to meet required talk time metrics.
Participate in management meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items.
Represent Beauty & The Bull Magazine and our partners in a positive and professional manner.
Identify areas of improvement to increase sales and productivity and assist in implementing solutions.
Update and Manage accurate information in the CRM tool for all of your assigned accounts.
Drive Sales activity to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Arrive to work and meetings on time and prepared.
Experience
Sales experience in advertising sales, phone sales and digital media sales preferred but not required.
5-7 years successfully implementing strategic solutions within the digital advertising space.
Strategic account management and solutions selling, versus simply media sales and planning
Demonstrated track record of establishing and developing revenue-rich relationships
Data, consultancy, strategy and/or analytics experience is preferred
Understand the principal relationship between Buyers and Sellers of your project assignment.
A strong understanding of the “agency family tree” is necessary. A network of strong agency relationships is preferred
Skills
Excellent communication skills (oral and written); ability to have a clear and concise conversation and are quick witted.
A confident and strong passion for sales and meeting sales goals.
Ability to implement feedback and are a quick learner.
Strong computer skills.
Self-motivated, driven, and possess a desire to achieve financial success.
Strong work ethic.
Highly team and goal oriented.
Positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred but adequate sales experience considered
Compensation
Commitment: Part-time/Full-time
Part-time: Generous commission schedule + monthly bonus/profit sharing + vested equity shares
Full-time (after 3-6 months): Salary based on commensurate experience + monthly bonus/profit sharing + vested equity shares
