Analog Design Engineer

Overview
Rhythmia Medical, a venture-backed company designing an innovative system to treat cardiac arrhythmias, is targeting one of the fastest growing fields in medical devices. The system includes state of the art signal processing, 3D imaging and catheter fabrication technologies. We are extremely selective in our hiring and employ a small team of super talented individuals whose aim is to have a major impact on developing a breakthrough life-saving technology.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of theoretical and practical fundamentals of analog electronics as well as experimental engineering techniques. This role will be directly involved in the design and development of an innovative hardware unit to acquire high fidelity cardiac signals from concept through commercial release.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Play a key role in the design and development of the company's signal acquisition and generation platform from prototype and concept through commercial release and beyond.
System level Analog engineering including designing multiple PCBs to acquire cardiac signals.
Design and maintain the company’s analog front end module involving uV level signal capturing at low (<1MHz) frequency.
Ensure the appropriate internal and external resources are in place to accomplish the company objectives. Build relationships with vendors such as IC suppliers, contractors and external partners for development initiatives.
Prepare plan for HW Verification and Validation in accordance with company documentation and FDA and industry standards
Skills
Job Requirements:
Expert knowledge of analog electronics and mixed signal design
BSEE from a leading university is required
Must have a minimum of 6 years of work experience in a commercial environment
Ability to drive development efforts through conception, planning, implementation and sustaining.
Ability to lead circuit board design including component selection
Track record of delivering a project of product from design stage to commercial release
Familiarity with biopotential signal acquisition (such as ECG) is a plus
Familiarity with hardware engineering in a regulated environment (such as FDA) is a plus
Must have good balance of theoretical and practical experience and must be “hands on” in an electronics lab environment and have experience using basic test equipment
Demonstrated leadership of technical solutions, with the capability to get results in a complex environment and managing multiple complex, mission critical projects
Track record of completing development projects on-time and on-budget with incremental deliverables.
Education
BSEE from a leading university is required.
Compensation
Title and salary will be commensurate with experience.
