We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our analytics group. You will be working on our small in-house hadoop cluster (~100TB) to help make BitTorrent’s products even better for our hundreds of millions of users
Responsibilities
Work with the product, engineering, and analytics teams to design and implement metrics
Build and maintain reports for those metrics
Build and maintain automated monitors for both reports and metrics
Experience
Ideal candidates will posses a strong combination of the following experience:
2+ years of python or ruby experience
1+ years of experience in an analytical/scientific environment (eg: working on analytics on another product, as a research assistant in a lab, or a degree in a hard science with applied statistics experience)
Experience with distributed version control tools like Git
Experience with any of the following is a plus: Google Analytics, MRJob, GNU R
