Starting in late 2012, we will begin to deploy kikin to 1 Billion users, and we will do everything possible to ensure that our users love kikin! To help us create and extend kikin's truly unique user experiences, we are looking to double our team in SoHo, NYC with more bright and fun developers, designers and marketers. kikin engineers work on a variety of hard problems (semantic indexing, named entity recognition, federated search, behavioral profiling, cross device support, latency reduction, etc.). We work in several programming languages to best solve each problem (Java, JavaScript, C++, Objective-C); and by leveraging several programs and markups, we design and build elegant user interfaces. Our application spans a user's domain (Android and iOS); reaches our servers and CDNs; and extends to third party APIs (e.g. Search, YouTube, Twitter, and Amazon).

Responsibilities
Deploy kikin's technology directly onto the Android operating system
Augment with the Android Open Source Project
Develop interactive user interfaces
Work with 3rd party device manufacters to integrate kikin on their devices
Learn more about, disseminate and incorporate leading edge mobile technology
Walk the line between perfectionism and pragmatism
Experience
Experience developing and releasing Android applications
Working knowledge of the Android open source project is a big plus
Deep knowledge of browsers and/or front-end scripting technology
Skills
Experience with current web technologies (e.g. HTML5) and O/S (e.g. Linux, Mac OSX), especially for mobile application development
Have already written a program that made life more efficient/enjoyable
Be an Android fan (own an Android device...Kindle Fire will do)!
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
