Entertainment value is so 2013. Here at Nextdoor, we believe social media should be utilitarian. And that it should do good for all: for your street, for our street, and for Main Street. It's what motivates us, drives us, gets us up in the morning. In fact, it's our mission to use the power of technology to build stronger and safer neighborhoods - here locally, and soon for neighbors around the globe.
Here, we're a small, but experienced team, and we've cracked the code on the next big thing. Come join us.
Nextdoor is the digital version of your local world. We help you plan block parties, protect the safety of your homes and streets, find lost pets, support cool, local businesses, and much more. We are utilizing the latest and greatest geospatial, authentication, scaling and security technologies - all to bring back a sense of community to the neighborhood. Help us build the next phase of Nextdoor!
We're at the cusp of major growth and international expansion and need a few, key engineers to drive the development that will get us there.
In this case, we are looking for an experienced Android developer to help us in building an engaging, high-quality experience for our mobile users - and enhance an already-top-rated application, working alongside a very small team. You’ll be working within a group of talented (and technical) product managers and designers to bring features from concept to reality in a useful and performant way.
We've built a baseline, and now we are actualizing full-fledged functionality.
