Overview
Position Summary:
GT Nexus, Inc. is seeking an Application Architect to design the next generation of logistics applications. The candidate will also work closely with product managers to define product strategy and roadmaps. We are looking for a technical leader who can articulate our vision to customers and senior executives. A strong technical background and experience with developing large scale, web based enterprise class business applications is a must. Experience with the unique challenges of logistics and supply chain management, event management applications and cloud computing is desired. The position reports to the VP of Applications.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the architecture and design of new product functionality.
Define architectural standards and best practices.
Ensure consistency across the application.
Work with engineering to assess technology choices.
Work with the Product management team to define the roadmap for all product lines.
Experience
BS/MS in CS or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of software development experience with 5 years architecting major solutions
Experience with Java and related Java EE technologies and enterprise business applications
In-depth understanding of high performance and scalable architectures
Strong RDBMS schema skills
Extensive Object modeling experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and experienced in the domain of logistics and supply chain applications
Experience with CRM, ERP, Order management and/or E-Commerce systems
Experience with Hadoop or other big data solutions a plus
