The ideal candidate for the Architect position should be a motivated and driven individual with a proven ability to lead the architecture and implementation of client-application technologies and server-side frameworks and database systems. This individual is expected to lead and participate in planning, designing, developing, testing, and deploying a communication system that incorporates multiple user-facing technologies (Windows, Mac, Web, iOS, Android), Web Services, SQL databases, and connectors to other health care IT components. Responsibilities are detailed as follows:
Work with the SBR marketing/sales team and customers to gather requirements/specifics on use cases
Translate use cases into designs and specifications
Evaluate design alternatives for development cost and solutions using various methods
Make assignments to developer team
Participate in developing/modifying code as needed
Test and integrate components
Create appropriate documentation
Strong engineering skills (The following skills are preferred but your willingness and ability to problem solve on your own or through your network is key)
Experience in managing small local and remote/off-shore development teams
Experience programming AJAX and SOAP or RESTful APIs.
Programming/Coding/Scripting in one of the many server-side frameworks such as Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, ASP.NET.
Extensive knowledge of web and application design and development.
Knowledge of QA practices including Unit and Integration Test and Test Automation
MySQL database application design and development
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
HL7 Mirth connector/conduit development experience is a plus
Bachelors Degree or higher in computer science or computer engineering.
