Assessment Program Manager

Insight provides districts and states across the country with educational assessment and analytic solutions that measure student learning and drive personalized instruction. By making data actionable in real time, our Insight products and services help teachers and administrators assess student progress, adapt to student needs and accelerate student learning.
Intel-Assess, a part of Amplify, provides assessment solutions to school districts to drive student improvement through actionable data. Intel-Assess allows districts administer any combination of short cycle, formative, and summative assessments that match the district’s assessment goals and scope and sequence. Districts can produce their own assessments with Intel-Assess’ best-in-breed, online, assessment creation tool, or Intel-Assess will produce assessments aligned to the district’s blueprints. Intel-Assess also provides consultative services, including assisting districts in defining, and executing effective assessment models and providing printing and distribution support.

The Assessment Program Manager will work with school districts, LEA's and State level Departments of Education to design, launch, and support their assessment programs. The Assessment Program Manager will support districts in evaluating assessment program models and best practices. The Assessment Program Manager will ensure that districts are successful in implementing their programs.

**This position is a work from home position, but travel is necessary so the applicant should be located in Northern California or with easy transportation access to Northern California.
Responsibilities
Assist and guide districts in creating and managing their assessment programs
Provide professional development for districts in regard to the creation of assessment blueprints and assessments
Provide technical training in both distance learning and in-person environments
Ensure districts are implementing successful assessment programs that meet their goals
Trouble shoot content issues and technical issues as appropriate in the Intel-Assess application
The district should understand that they are to go to their program manager first for any and all questions related to the application, products, and their assessment program in general
The PM should stay in constant communication with their districts and provide support and be a champion for all IA solutions the district has purchased and other possible opportunities to upsell IA solutions
Provide updates to the districts regarding new releases with content and enhancements
Keep the Program Manager district tracking log in updated
Develop a relationship with districts and be able to report to the sales and client services team the status of any given district at all times, including during pipeline calls, status updates calls, one-on-one meetings with manager
Be aware of the district’s status with plans to renew or not, and provide assistance as needed
Alert manager and sales consultant of any potential risks with a district that require a mitigation strategy plan or training issue
Experience
BS/BA required
7+ years’ experience in K-12 education
3+ years’ of experience creating assessment plans and assessments for K12 districts
Proficiency in project management, including large scale projects in school districts
Must be able to travel in California, estimated at 40-50% of the time
Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree preferred and teaching credential (past or current), administrative credential
Experience working in an Educational Technology company
Experience as a classroom teacher, experience working in a management, specialist, or professional development role
Experience communicating across all levels of a school district hierarchy, including communication at the cabinet level
