Overview

We are seeking an experienced LAMP developer to join our driven team on a full/part equity basis. We are looking for 2/3yrs+ MVC Framework experience, experience in API based development, excellent PHP5, HTML, and CSS skills and someone with a good sense of humour. Any Cross-Platform mobile optimisation, Adobe CS4, JQuery, and UI design skills and/or experience would be a plus. A developer will primarily be working on modifying and adding to our profile management system, which is currently built on the Elgg platform (elgg.org).

QRky Ltd. is getting ready to launch our innovative business card product. Our online digital profile platform will allow consumers and businesses alike to aggregate their online multi-media content into a mobile optimised format and link it to their printed promotional materials (at first, business cards) using QR (Quick Response) codes. Any suitable developer that is interested in further information will be given a full introduction to our concept and business plan under an NDA and get to know current team members before making any commitments to joining our team.

We have received significant interest from both consumers and businesses and are confident the business has huge potential if we are able to bring the right individuals into our team. Our aim is to bring a long-term developer on board through equity, who will bring development expertise to our team and help us drive the business forward. Our business model is geared to generate revenue almost immediately and we would be looking to pay team members as soon as possible. We do also have funding available to pay developers interested in shorter-term contracts where equity would however not be available.

QRky Ltd is a young and fun start-up with an aggressive growth strategy. It was founded by two Aston University business graduates with previous start-up experience and a track record of making start-ups happen. The concept has received funding of over £15,000 and we are currently pitching for angel funding. Our business is also part of the business incubator E4F (http://www.bsp-a.com/Entrepreneurs-for-the-Future-e4f) based in the Birmingham Science Park. In our previous media company, we gained clients including KPMG, Advantage West Midlands, and GradJobs.
