BlogHer seeks a top-notch Accounting Manager!

BlogHer is seeking a hands-on General Accounting Manager to join the Finance Team. We offer a challenging pace and opportunity in helping to strengthen the efficiency of the accounting department. The position requires great attention to detail, professionalism in resolving accounting issues and the ability to work both with a team as well as independently.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assuring that all accounting records, policies and procedures strictly adhere to GAAP. This person will also be responsible for all general accounting functions as described below. A professional and friendly attitude is a must!
Managing high volume accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Reviewing and processing expense reports and corporate credit cards statements.
Managing the Senior Accountant and Accounts Payable/Office Manager.
Fixed assets tracking and depreciation.
Account reconciliations and general ledger account management.
Assisting the controller as necessary.
Perform such accounting, financial and/or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
Providing ad hoc reports to the controller and executive staff when necessary.
Ad hoc research projects as necessary.
Maintain internal controls and adhere to policies.
Manage annual audit process as key point person for the company.
Maintain weekly cash flow forecasts for review with controller.
At least 5 years general accounting experience and 2+ years accounting manager experience.
Demonstrated success working collaboratively: within a functional team, across departmental functions and with an executive management team.
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate well.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.
Demonstrated success in fast paced start up environment. Experience in small to mid-size public companies a plus.
Experience with accounting for online media companies a plus.
Strong attention to detail with regard to deliverables, organization and accuracy of records.
Proficiency in all MS Office programs, advanced skill in Excel, experience with Intacct, Solomon, Great Plans or other mid-tier systems.
Ability to work well as a contributing team member as well as individually.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA license a plus
