Work with manager to develop clear financial policies and procedures: including posting transactions, expense reports, budgets, reconciliations, etc.
Prepare financial statements and reports, including the profit and loss statement and balance sheet, as well as any budgetary / custom financial reports
Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger
Prepare books for Quarterly close
Work with external accountant on posting end of month journal entries
Conduct monthly bank & expense reconciliations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal tax and reporting requirements
Oversee execution of incentive payments for showroom teams and stylists
Review expense reports
Manage purchase orders, bills, and payables for all vendors
Entry of transactions into accounting software: transfers between accounts, vendor payments, wires, etc.
Assist with financial, billing & accounting correspondence
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
2+ years of bookkeeping experience and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Experience working with online accounting software, NetSuite experience a plus
Thorough, detail oriented & organized with strong analytical & communication skills
Reports to: Director of Operations
Commitment: Part Time, 15-20 hours per week on site with potential for expanded role.
Compensation: We offer competitive hourly pay, which will vary based on experience.
