Business Development Internship (Paid)

Overview
We are seeking a Business Development intern. In this role you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and measurement of business development efforts across channels to acquire new clients. Tactics will include email, tradeshows, networking, inbound and outbound marketing, and strategy for new paths. You’ll also work closely with our Sales and Customer Success teams, and report directly to a senior member of the Business Development team. This is a paid position.

Olapic was founded a little over 2 years ago by a a group of super-cool guys doing their MBA at Columbia University, and has grown over that time to 20+ employees and a long list of awesome, big name clients. We specialize in the intersection of social photography and commerce, providing the tools to collect, curate, moderate, publish, and extract value from all the amazing photo content on the web.

Our open loft headquarters are in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan. We care about pushing technology to its limits and creating a product that people actually use. We like to take ownership over our work, solve hard problems, and hang out with the other sweet startups in our building. We don't like jerks, endless meetings, or ads - but we love lemurs. We're VC-backed, and we have a strong revenue model.
Responsibilities
Help build business development strategy for customer acquisition and satisfaction
Utilize an intelligent "test-and-learn" approach to campaigns and emergent digital trends
Scout, qualify, and connect with large-name brand clients
Create robust case studies on current campaigns
Help to own our outbound marketing efforts, reaching out regularly.
Collaborate with Brand and Product teams to discover new markets
Experience
Some experience working in a business development or marketing role
Track record of being both self directed and able to collaborate
Any experience working with creative agencies is a BIG plus
Skills
Expert Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Passion for our product and brand
A sick Instagram account
Education
We are looking for recent graduates or undergraduate students in their senior year, as this position has the potential to become a full-time role.
