Overview
We are looking for a very gifted, motivated, relationship focused and pragmatic business development leader to join our team to help OpenX deliver more value to our publishers by finding ways to drive full and fair value for advertising inventory online
The Opportunity:
* We are looking a very gifted, motivated, relationship focused and pragmatic professional services professional to join our team to help OpenX deliver more value to our publishers by finding ways to drive full and fair value for advertising inventory online.
* This person will lead a broad set of our business development activities, primarily in the US.
* OpenX is at an early stage in its evolution so the potential for experiential, operational and economic upside is very significant for the right person.
The Ideal Person will have:
* A strong desire to help transform the online advertising market for the benefit of publishers, advertisers and users
* Extensiveexperience building mutually beneficial partnerships with players in the US online advertising space, particularly publishers, ad networks and other advertising infrastructure players
* Proven track record as an effective evangelist for newadvertising business model and product offerings. Ability to break through walls of skepticism and disinterest and inspire potential partners.
* Experience building very strong personal relationships, overcoming tough issues in positive ways and building lasting inter-company partnerships.
* Proven track record of helping to shape ongoing product innovation by listening to customers, synthesizing feedback and articulating clearly to internal product and technology teams.
* A very commercial mindset – extremely customer oriented, very good understanding of industry landscape/trends and constantly identifying new business model opportunities
* Excellent teamwork and communications skills – both inside and outside the company.
* A real passion to work in an hard-charging start-up environment with some ambiguity and few rules or processes
* BS minimum, advanced degree desirable. Academic training in computer science, engineering or business preferred.
