Overview
Castlight Health is looking for a highly strategic and motivated individual to join the business development team to lead development and management of relationships with payers.
The ideal candidate for this role takes a proactive approach to building relationships, has deep knowledge of the health plan space, solid experience in developing partnerships, and a “roll up your sleeves” attitude. We’re looking for a savvy Business Development Manager with exceptional judgment and tact.
Responsibilities
Lead all stages of partnership development including: pitching, solution development, negotiation, relationship management
Produce presentation materials, run external and internal meetings, coordinate and negotiate contracts, communicate and quarterback across internal teams
Experience
4-7 years working experience in business development, account management partner management, and/or sales functions
Experience building partnerships from the ground up including: performing initial outreach, developing relationships, negotiating and closing contracts, and managing ongoing relationships
Proven ability to run complex processes, navigate organizations, and lead meetings effectively and efficiently
Skills
Deep knowledge of the health care industry and payer space
Excellent communication, presentation skills and relationship-building skills; able to engage with all levels of an organization
Accountable, proactive and thoughtful with high attention to detail and strategic problem solving skills
Cultural fit with Castlight: team player comfortable in fast-paced environments
Willingness to travel frequently—location in San Francisco is preferred, but flexible
Education
• BS/BA required; MBA strongly preferred
