Business Development Manager - Consumer Device Makers

Overview
BitTorrent Device Partners is a technology licensing and certification program designed to help partnering companies create next-generation Internet-enabled consumer devices. At the semiconductor and chipset level, we partner to create highly optimized code and reference designs. In the middleware and content management layer, we provide advanced transport and managed content delivery solutions. For consumer electronics brands we offer access to premier content, managed peer-assisted content delivery services, and the marketing benefits of the "BitTorrent Certified" brand.

BitTorrent is currently looking for a senior business development manager to acquire and penetrate multi-national consumer electronics companies for our licensing and certification program of internet enabled devices (e.g., consumer router, network storage makers, set-top box manufacturers).

Responsibilities
Develop business opportunities with multi-national consumer electronics companies and chip set manufacturers world-wide.
Assist BitTorrent product management team in collecting customer product/feature commercialization requirements.
Prepare and deliver on articulated sales metrics including, but not limited to: sales forecasts, account status reports, and expense control.
Identify and resolve agreement issues, negotiate changes, recommend compromises, prepare contract amendments and coordinate the execution and distribution of agreements.
Role model for the BitTorrent corporate values.
Experience
10+ years business development experience in the consumer electronics industry w/ demonstrable accomplishments in B2B deal making. Direct, primary experience with contract negotiations and licensing agreements an absolute requirement.
Excellent sr. level relationships with target partners in consumer electronics industry.
Intellectually aggressive, a creative problem solver, and possesses strong analytical skills.
Ability to quickly dissect highly complex issues.
Strong technical aptitude, including market understanding and awareness of competitors and partners in BitTorrent’s space.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven track record in handling multiple projects/priorities and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
Education
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience; Prefer Masters in Business or related field
