Position Description
Ustream is seeking a talented Business Development Operations & Events Coordinator who is a part of the Business Development team and will be responsible for supporting all premium broadcasted events and other department activities. This individual is accountable for planning, organizing, and executing upcoming streamed events by coordinating marketing, technical, and business development initiatives. The coordinator must be goal-oriented, self-sufficient, extremely organized, reliable, and focused. This position is ideal for an organized events coordinator with strong special events, technical, and solid project management abilities with an emphasis on organizational and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will have proven success managing special events in a fast-paced and web-based organization. The candidate must enjoy cultivating relationships through interaction with corporate, organization and individual content owners. The ability to take initiative, gather assets, build a thorough report of each broadcasted event, and present metrics to team members and clientele is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Support business development team with high-visibility events which includes communicating technical knowledge of Ustream’s platform, ensuring that necessary streaming equipment is implemented, and coordinating involved parties for seamless execution
Meticulously project manage each assigned event from initiation to final follow-up metrics reporting deck
Capture and aggregate assets and metrics for reporting decks
Manage client and internal communications
Respond to client inquiries via email and phone throughout work day, evenings, and occasional weekends
Track and update event statuses in internal system
Meet or exceed department goals and other objectives including analysis and implementation of strategic and organic business initiatives
Identify solutions, positions, and ultimately close compelling marketing solutions/engagements to key stakeholders across all verticals
Skills
The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of event coordination or project management experience in the consumer internet and/or major media space with concentration in executing large business development events
Strong aptitude for problem solving and follow-through on issues
Great attention to detail
Self-starter motivated to succeed with minimal handholding
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, startup environment
Flexibility and teamwork are critical. Employee must adapt quickly in a growing, dynamic company
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated history of attributes consistent with culture: can-do attitude, customer-focused, flexible, initiative, quality-conscious, responsive, teamwork and contributing to others’ success
Work schedule includes weekends and late nights. Must be flexible to respond to important emails and phone messages during off-peak hours within a timely manner
Must be able to acquire strong technical knowledge of streaming media platform, equipment, and terminology quickly
Meticulous note-taking, event performance tracking, and metrics analysis is required
