We’re disrupting a huge industry and we’re looking for the next generation of Business Development Representatives (BDR) to help us grow. Have your friends ever told you that you should be in sales? Do you ever find yourself negotiating for sport? Does the thought of cold calling give you pleasant, restful nights? If so, this may be for you.
As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for all inbound and outbound sales efforts. You’ll generate demand, interest, and excitement for Eventbrite.
Represent Eventbrite with style and grace on the phone with prospective clients
Document qualified opportunities to pass on to Account Executives
Be the first line of contact, quick on your feet, and handle objections like a pro
Have a deep understanding of the entire sales process
Assist the sales team on special projects
Some experience (<1 year will fly) in a phone sales role as part of a SaaS, 2.0, or ASP company
Experience with mid-high volume cold calling
A fearless ability to proactively engage new clients that may not have heard of us
A consultative sales approach and knowledge of how to maintain control of a conversation
The skills to passionately and clearly articulate value/benefit - we don’t sell price.
A knack for asking great questions to uncover issues with a prospect’s current process
A firm understanding of how to qualify buyer interest and identify target customers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A team-player attitude with a strong desire to help improve internal processes beyond just your day-to-day tasks
