Business and Financial Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities.
Keep an accurate set of books for the company, including accruals, COGS, shipping, receiving, and revenue reconciliations. Close out each month with a monthly checklist of items that are needed to close out the numbers and present them to the board.
Bank, credit card reconciliations
Work with accountants to close out 2011
Look for other programs that might work aside from Quickbooks that might suit our company better
Light AP/AR work
Cash management with Chase
Create and maintain new financial model for 2012-2015, continually update based on metrics
Create financial budget procedures and monthly reconciliation to budget
Financial Model stress testing and presentation, forecast 4 yr plan.
Seek other interim financing such as inventory loans, lines of credit, credit cards
Create key metrics dashboard
Pricing analysis, competitive analysis
Aid in the fundraising process
Due diligence preparation for potential investors
Maintain database of potential investors and follow ups with all of them
Termsheet discussions with legal team and clarification to President and COO
Attendance of VC financing events
Update current business plan if needed, continually update pitch deck
Finalize Employee handbook and company policies, enforce time off and vacation days
Find cost savings in renegotiating contracts with shipping, payment processing, and distributors.
Analyze benefits to find cost savings for company healthcare and HR outsourcing company
Make sure interoffice IT is running smoothly
Work alongside COO and Head of Development to maintain monthly development goals.
Starting salary of 40k.
