We are a team of talented, young professionals from Stanford, who are extremely passionate about the professional networking space; we are starting an extremely exciting company in this space. We’ve interviewed hundreds of customers, build multiple prototypes, launched the alpha version of the product, and looking to launch the beta version by June 2013.
We are looking for a talented and innovative developer to help us develop the beta. He should be highly involved in shaping the product, both from an engineering and design perspective. The ideal developer should enjoy working in a team, look for out-of-the-box solutions, have the desire to build something exciting that will change the lives of hundreds of millions of people, and be an energetic personality with a sense of humor. We are looking for someone who has knowledge and experience across several platforms and does not mind long hours, equity, and dreaming of the good exciting adventurous life.
Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the development stack)
Produce technical architectures that are modifiable, dependable and scalable
Design and develop high quality front-end code for our application platform
Ensure the best user experience for our community
All round understanding of user experience across multiple platforms
Implementing designs across multiple (mobile/web) platforms and browsers
Superior creativity and innovation-driven
Ability to work independently (in a small team or in a remote location)
Hands-on with Ruby on Rails or Django framework
UI design skills - knowing what works and what doesn't
Experience with building dynamic interfaces
Ability to manage a young technical team of students
Preferably a CS undergraduate/Master
