CTO / VP of Engineering TV Platform, Media Player and Server Technology

Overview
The CTO in partnership with the management team is responsible for executing the company’s technical visions, developing the product architecture and leading all aspects of the company‘s technology development. The CTO contributes to positioning the company’s service offering as a leader in the TV Platform industry. Develop multi DRM interoperability and all hardware platform support for our media player components to operate on all Content Delivery systems. Components include iOS, Android, Linux, Smart TV and Windows devices as well as supporting servers.
Responsibilities
Manage development of products in the most cost effective manner within quality standards.
Oversee engineering to attain maximum efficiency in the design and production of the company's network operations distributed over web services API.
Direct activities so that products are developed on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives and meet market demands.
Develop. review and analyze the development and operational budgets.
Contribute to achieve and sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
Experience
Demonstrated ability to envision and architect web-based services.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience managing tech teams.
Extensive LAMP and SQL Server.
Keen business acumen and proven executive management abilities based on prior experience.
Effective communications with management and development team.
Provide leadership and motivation to the development team via a dynamic, confident and professional demeanor.
Experience with startup companies.
Hands-on experience coding in LAMP and .NET web application framework.
Ability to discern user requirements and develop specifications.
Skill with CSS, XHTML, one or more Java script frameworks, AJAX and Actionscript.
Knowledge of web standards.
Knowledge of Internet protocols and RFC standards, database management systems SQL Server and MySQL.
Internet marketing and search engine optimization.
Security vulnerabilities and risk management.
Consumer privacy and payments industry compliance requirements.
Skills
LAMP
iOS, Android Linux and Windows development
HTML 5
Content Delivery Networks
DRM and secure delivery of media
Web 2.0
Experience developing eCommerce payment systems and ad network systems.
Strong data access layer and ASP.NET WebForms experience.
Has the ability to quickly grasp the Company’s underlying technology. Can discuss technical issues and resolve development challenges with Engineers. Keeps current on technology trends, standards and development processes.
Education
BS/BA in computer science or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience. A graduate degree in one of these fields is a plus.
