TopDog is a social competition platform, with its first competition – the “Awesomeness Competition” for charity – having attracted 25,000 visitors and 9,000 contestants in 2.5 weeks. Its second competition, “Best Costume Ever,” in partnership with premier entertainment brand IMAX, is currently underway. With an organically viral model, TopDog has the potential to rapidly and inexpensively achieve massive reach.
TopDog is seeking a CEO responsible for the organization, leadership, and strategic direction of the Company. The CEO will oversee all aspects of the business, from day-to-day operations and execution to long-term vision. Key areas of focus will include strategy, fundraising, product development, user acquisition, sponsorship sales, and HR. With a team of talented local developers, designers, and project managers already in place, as well as the support and infrastructure of the founding team and advisors, you will be tasked with leveraging the resources at your disposal to translate TopDog's initial traction into a sustainable, standalone business. This role will work closely with and will report to the Board of Directors.
5 or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: management consulting, corporate/business development, private equity, venture capital, or building a startup. Direct experience with social media companies a strong plus.
Background in consumer web products, with a strong understanding of web services, platforms, and product management
