Chief Revenue Officer (New York City)

We manage consumer advertising aimed at the grocery buyer across a network of 300 plus food and recipe sites around the world serving over 130 million ads per month. With established market share, the company is headquartered in Sydney, Australia with major operations in the USA, Canada and UK and rapidly building opportunities in other global centers.

Gourmet Ads is a seeking a Chief Revenue Officer, based in New York City to lead and manage our global sales across key revenue areas.

Right around the world, people have a great passion for cooking and all things related to food. It’s this demand by consumers that has fuelled the popularity of food and recipes websites, thus presenting a range of opportunities for brands to engage and influence audiences of grocery buyers and people who cook at home. That’s where you come in.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll be ultimately responsible for all company revenue, the three main areas you will initially focus on are;
Ad Agency Sales – working with our agency sales partners to maximize revenue
Direct Sales – developing our internal sales team to drive client direct revenue
Private Ad Exchange – developing programmatic buying revenue via RTB
Use your:
✔ comprehensive understanding of the online advertising industry,
✔ strong background and network in advertising sales,
✔ creativity in developing client segmented focused solutions,
✔ passion to grow sales personally
✔ experience in building a sales process and inspiring sales people to excel
Your past experience in senior Revenue roles will be crucial in developing and executing the strategy for generating more profitable revenue over the long term in multiple markets and multiple countries.
Proven track record in generating revenue in Online Advertising
Development and implementation of a plan to create demand and achieve revenue results
Building relationships with key marketing and media decision makers within agencies, brands and other prospective client organizations
Proven ability to succeed in a high-activity sales environment
Developing strategies in lead generation to ensure sales funnel is full.
Experience in creating and managing a successful sales team
Broader responsibilities include developing and growing new business revenue with potential and existing advertisers. Key to the role will be your ability to identify, structure and negotiate innovative media plans whilst managing relationships directly with clients and our sales partners. Managing, coaching and growing a small team of direct sales executives. Monitor revenue pipelines of each revenue stream to determine in advance the level of risk to obtaining desired goals and what adjustments should ultimately be implemented to accelerate revenue
Key Performance Indicators are simple. You’re tasked with growing company revenue globally and as such performance will be measured by growth in gross revenue across the board, broken out across all revenue areas.
