Chief of Staff (Executive Assistant to China CEO, Office Manager) for $100M UK Payments Disruptor in Beijing, China
Responsibilities
Create China HQ's culture: From infrastructure-building (office-fit out) to head-hunting the founding team, setting benchmarks (earnings on target, 360 performance reviews), and keeping all productive and happy (team-building, perks and amenities, ombudsman, chief evangelist).
Co-leading daily and weekly meetings with China CEO: setting goals, reviewing opportunities and failures, tasking individuals, and reiterating bandwidth on the fly.
Managing Salesforce.com CRM for global, APAC leads -- and their fulfillment.
Managing budgeting, cash burn, and office spend (interim CFO).
Payroll and expense syncing with UK team: make sure everyone gets paid.
Sales support: market research, financial modeling (we will teach you), localization of marketing.
Lead and manage 3 internship intakes, make our internship programme the best in Asia: year-long interns (Fall, Spring) and international summer analyst programme. Own process from interviews to training, staffing projects, performance reviews, and brand-building across campuses.
Head of Recruitment for University Programmes in Asia Pacific: China, Japan, Korea, Russia, India.
Co-manage talent acquisition and recruitment with line managers: work in tandem to advertise opportunities and vet talent on ad-hoc basis.
Utility player for full-time staff: transition into PowerPoint deck creation, social media help, copy-editing, or attending sales meetings and pitches when staff unavailable.
Experience
Mandarin and English fluency a must: your writing must be at a copywriting level for both.
3-5 years supporting VP/C-Levels (corporate) and managing juniors.
Psychology and vocabulary to structure workplace habits, create accountability measures, and instill cultural points across every business function.
Fast-execution and resilience to work with strong personalities: tight deadlines, late nights, unreasonable demands from clients/customers, and items requiring extreme attention to detail.
Gregarious, bubbly, and likeable personality: You are the brand-image of our employees. You cannot be moping about. Lead with charisma--we will not let you fail.
Skills
Soft-skills: You must be likable.
Hard-skills: You must teach, train, and challenge junior talent to prioritize sales and managements' bandwidth--while juggling a hundred other things, with precision and a smile.
Education
Bachelor's required from a top-tier university. Masters preferred in Human Capital Management. Study abroad experience extremely attractive (to understand profiles of our team).
