Hustle Your Bustle is an online marketplace where women can buy and sell upscale wedding dresses at a fraction of the cost. It is the only online bridal marketplace that curates listings for quality, and it capitalizes on the current trends of online marketplaces and discount (yet quality) weddings.
The website (www.hustleyourbustle.com) is completely built, functional, and ready to blow up. It just launched in October. We now need a cofounder with experience in sales, PR, communication, or social media to help take the business to the next level by putting it in front of as many brides and industry contacts as possible. The massive amount of upfront work to build the site has been done - it is now a matter of increasing awareness.
Someone with experience in PR, communications, social media or sales, and with a go-getter, self-starter, "make it happen", outgoing attitude is ideal.
Set up and manage a marketing/PR and sales plan for the company
Establish strategic partnerships within the wedding industry and other relevant industries
Devise innovative strategies for both increasing the number of gowns listed on the site and the number of gowns that sell
Drive and increase dress listing and sales numbers
Reach out to publications, websites and blogs for coverage
Network at trade shows and events
At least 4 years experience in PR, communications, sales and/or social media
Strong writing and interpersonal skills
Experience within the wedding industry a huge plus
Start-up experience a big plus
Most importantly: an upbeat, enthusiastic, self-starter, innovative, try anything attitude
Able to implement social media strategies to drive sales
Ability to run email marketing campaigns
Adept at finding information about high-impact events, individuals, publications
Excellent at interpersonal communication
College degree in business, fashion, design, PR, communications, or sales
Significant equity in company, with possibility of income
