Responsibilities
Manage social media properties to meet quarterly goals for growth
Assist in social media data analysis to develop strategic marketing plans
Contribute to online marketing initiatives and music industry research projects
Collaborate with partners to execute successful online music festivals and events
Support the Community/Marketing Manager in the coordination of the Brand Ambassador program
Respond to feedback from users, and interact positively with the user community
Experience
Required experience:
1 year experience managing social media properties for a company or other organization
1 year experience assisting a manager in any capacity
Desired experience:
1 year experience in the music industry, particularly event/concert planning
1 year experience in community organizing, particularly grassroots oriented approaches
Skills
Desired technical skills:
Facebook pages
Tweetdeck
Wordpress (HTML and CSS a plus)
Pinterest for companies
Youtube channel management
Google Analytics
Photoshop
Basic audio/video editing skills
Desired career skills:
Self-directed, ability to work with minimal supervision
Innovative, ability to identify specific problems and propose unique, effective solutions
Responsive, ability to handle fast-paced, demanding situations professionally
Inquisitive, desire to learn new skills and diverse aspects of our company’s work

Multi-lingual and cultural savvy, ability to speak multiple languages and appreciate diverse cultures from around the world
Education
The ideal candidate must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited university. Preferably, you are able to receive credit that counts towards the completion of a degree.

We are particularly interested in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Publicity, Mass Media, and Sociology, and Music Business majors, but we are willing to consider applicants from all academic disciplines.
Compensation
This position is currently unpaid. However, there are a range of perks and opportunities to the position.
You’ll be able to attend networking and workshop events within the LA startup community. Additionally, you’ll be able to work with music industry organizations and other strategic partners from around the world.

Our Community/Marketing Manager has over a decade experience in the music industry and in online marketing. She will be happy to mentor the right candidate, and structure the internship to meet their personal goals. Most importantly, you will be working on critical tasks that will have a direct impact on the company.
