Overview

Can you build a consumer facing web app? Do you care as much about user experience as you do about app performance? Are you able to tackle front-end markup and back-end code?

We are Jana, and we currently have 500,000 active consumers of our service with access to nearly three billion. Our customers include large, well-known companies and are helping us to generate revenue in 50 countries around the world. We recently completed a Series A financing and we’ve raised just under $10 million in total.

Currently we are using Python, Flask, CouchDB and Redis. We host everything with Ubuntu on EC2 and other Amazon Web Services. Git makes our codebase easy to work with. Fabric makes deploying fast and consistent. We hire bright developers who can get work done. We do not hire on a specific set of skills or a buzzword-filled résumé.
