Content Writer for Blog Re-launch

We are taking the old and turning it into a brand-spankin' new entertainment website. Focused on music, sports, comedy and theater, the website will serve as a one-stop shop for all live events, with a focus on the NYC metropolitan area. Because this is new endeavor, there will be plenty of opportunity to pitch cool ideas and become a real asset to the freelance team.
Need a reliable, experienced freelance writer who is able to produce 4-6, 200-word news blurbs a week. Copy will expound on tour date announcements, tour rumors, one-off show announcements, and festival announcements from a wide range of musicians and genres. Articles will also include basic SEO elements such as hyperlinking and writing headers.
Assignments will be drafted in WordPress and must be completed within a 24-hour time period. I.e. if an assignment is sent Monday afternoon it should be drafted in WordPress for review on Tuesday afternoon.

Must live in the New York metropolitan area
Very basic HTML skills
WordPress blogging experience
Knowledge and/or interest in music
Ability to do light research on an artist in order to do write a compelling and factual article
You will be compensated at $20 per article, plus a bonus structure based on how much traffic the article yields.
