Scoop St. aims to usher in a new paradigm of commerce by reshaping the conventional supplier-buyer structure - placing greater purchasing power in your hands.


We are looking for a super smart and seasoned creative writing genius that knows how to convey ideas, concepts, and products to captivate audiences all over the web. This person must have a marketing background, with email marketing and website copywriting experience. Being super-savvy in social media is not a requirement, but you will not be considered if you don't know what Facebook and Twitter are.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Produce a variety of marketing copy with an initial focus on direct email and website copy
Brainstorm and implement successful direct email marketing campaigns
Write pithy and catchy prose appropriate to the media and message
Helpsource and brainstorm catchy copy to intrigue and invite sales
Meet deadlines and milestones at the “speed of a bullet”
Complete independent research as needed to write knowledgably on particular deals
Consistently produce quality work that is cognizant of the tone and style of our company
Proofread and change website copy
Experience
This person must have at least 3 years of copywriting/PR/marketing background, with email marketing and website copywriting experience.
Skills
Impeccable command of punctuation and language mechanics in English
Ability to independently generate new copy ideas on a weekly basis
Direct Marketing background preferred
Comfortable working in an open independent environment
Ability to nimbly produce and alter copy on a deadline when necessary and stretch creative boundaries with words and expressions
Strong planning, organizing, problem solving and scheduling abilities
Ability to work successfully with a minimum of supervision, and pay attention to details
Must be a self motivator with a strong work ethic
Education
B.A. in Journalism, Marketing, Communications or a related field or experience
Compensation
This is a contract, per-project basis position. Rate is negotiable.
