Corporate Controller

Overview
The Controller will be the primary go-to person reporting financial
information on a monthly basis, spearheading systems implementations
as it relates to producing financial data, and manage the annual
budget cycle for all Home Office Team expenses. This position will
work closely with the Vice Presidents of each market to review
financial information, note trends in the company's financial
performance for reporting to the Executive Committee and ultimately
our Board of Director's. As the company grows, many new opportunities
and challenges arise, and this position will be poised to take a
leadership role in helping to define how the company reviews financial
information. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial
Officer, and will directly manage a team of 3 staff members -- an
Assistant Controller, Accounts Payable Accountant and an Accounts
Receivable Accountant.
Responsibilities
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Financial Reporting
Review financial information on a monthly basis
Ensure numbers accurately reflect the financial position of the company
Oversee the generation of monthly financial review deck
Run the Market & Home Office Team Financial Review Meetings
Coordinate ad-hoc reporting as requested
Systems Implementations and Process Improvement
Be a key thought partner in the continued implementation of new ERP system
Drive forward process improvements in automating existing processes
Annual Budgeting/Periodic Forecasting
Own the annual budgeting cycle for all Home Office Team expenses
Own the annual balance sheet/cash flow forecasting based on the
consolidated company budget of the company
Work with budget owners on understanding their role in the budgeting process
Manage scenarios in budgeting based on various roll-up information
Audit Management
Oversee financial statement and 401(k) audits
Insurance
Work with Human Resources and our insurance brokers on negotiating annual insurance policies
Experience
Experience in public accounting/Big 4 firms strongly preferred.
7-10 years of progressive experience in Accounting roles.
Ability to work independently and effectively research new situations
Develop a course of action to implement, with minimal guidance.

Specifically the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial people over the telephone and via email.
Education
BA, BS, or equivalent college degree required, with concentration in
Accounting/Finance required.
CPA license required
