ABOUT US & OUR MISSION

Greenzu (www.greenzu.com) is a San Francisco based startup that helps small businesses and non-profits go solar by removing the upfront cost. The biggest barrier to these buildings going solar is a lack of financing. Instead of paying upfront for the solar equipment, our business/non-profit customers just buys electricity from us. They save money while helping the environment!

With 4 million commercial rooftops ready for solar, Greenzu is poised to help America remove 57 Billion tons of CO2 from the air. Now we need a few smart, creative, people to communicate this to the nation's media and business leaders.


THE OPPORTUNITY

As our lead communications/PR creator, you will be our chief storyteller. You will formulate creative new strategies for driving awareness of how Greenzu is catalyzing the adoption of clean energy across the country. You will also rally mainstream and trade press to tell our story. To do all this, you must carry a personal passion for environmental stewardship, clean energy breakthroughs, and creative ways to get large corporate decision-makers to pay attention.
Responsibilities
Maximize media exposure for Greenzu through targeted, measurable PR programs around how we can help companies save energy and the planet with our innovative energy solutions.
Craft communication strategies that earn relevance every day for Greenzu with the clear and compelling messaging that cause people to say "Whoa"
Manage outreach to the press, generating story ideas and convincing journalists of your story's importance.
Play a strategic role in the development of messaging and tactics designed around our innovation, competition and other key areas of focus
Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record in driving mass media coverage of your stories;
Experience marketing online B2B oriented products and services;
Skills
Strong creativity that can say logically tied to core messaging objectives
Deep knowledge of search marketing and online advertising, web publishing systems, email marketing, social media and design.
Passion for diving in and contributing to the entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent strategic, conceptual, and communication (writing and presenting) skills.
An eye for design a huge plus
Education
