Customer Account and Support Specialist in Palo Alto

Overview

Responsibilities
The Customer Account and Support Specialist will be responsible for administering requests and questions from our customers on our social investing platform.
Customer support for our products involves:
a) Working with the engineering team to design, build and enhance an account administration tool to facilitate everyday account support tasks;
b) Daily oversight of the creation, approval and funding of investment accounts with our brokerage partner. This includes working with customers who require guidance to complete the establishment of their accounts;
c) Fielding questions from existing and prospective customers about our product. Customer interaction will take place via both email and telephone;
d) Identifying customer experience and product improvement opportunities and helping product management and engineering teams prioritize and implement these improvements.
Support for our Virtual Portfolio product involves:
a) Responding to user questions about our virtual investing environment and handling user requests for virtual portfolio support using our virtual portfolio administration tools. Interaction with users will take place via email and on our online support message board;
b) Developing programmatic tools to automate common virtual portfolio support tasks;
The Customer Account and Support Specialist will be required to develop and maintain intimate knowledge of both our Managed Portfolio and Virtual Portfolio products.
The ideal candidate is a self-starting, fast learner who has:
An undergraduate degree with a focus on business and technology/engineering (e.g. Industrial Engineering);
Programming experience: web development and database administration experience a must. The ideal candidate has built dynamic websites and/or database applications;
A passion for business, in particular a fervent interest in finance and investing;
Excellent communication skills,
Great interpersonal skills: passionate about helping and delighting customers, must
